Special Friendship: Melanie

I have known Melanie since I was at the age of three, which technically means we have known each other for fourteen years.  I could go on forever on how my life would be so different with out her - it would be.  But I shall try and choose a few memories to reminiscent about.

Like many children, you usually had that friend, whose house you would go every second week and your friend would come in the weeks where you didn't go to their house.  Melanie was that friend.  She was and still is one of my best friends.  I still recall memories of when we would jump over her hedge with prickly leaves and onto the grass - her drive way was incredibly steep, dropping a metre or so; hiding in her bedroom away from my Dad so I wouldn't have to leave her house, as well as making our own fort with a bed sheet in her bedroom.

In 2003 or 2004, Melanie and I got into the most absurd argument which lasted a month or longer.  It was because we both had the same interests in the book The B.F.G., F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and another television show.  When I look back onto that argument, it was so ridiculous!  I mean, aren't friendships bonded because of each other's interests?

The most emotional year for us, well definitely for me, was 2005, when I moved from Canberra to Queensland because my Dad got a new job.  I still remember the last day we hung out and when Melanie's Mum dropped me off at home and I hugged Melanie.  However, I never knew that was the last time I would see her until one of us went interstate to see each other.  The first few weeks in Brisbane were very sad.  I cried because I missed my best friend and how I was unable to see her.  So the next school holidays, which were like 10 weeks after I had arrived in Brisbane, Melanie flew to Queensland for a trip.  I was so incredibly happy when I saw her.  That feeling was like when loved ones see each other after months or years of separation.  Quite an exaggerated emotion, but that was how it felt to me.

The past two years, we haven't met each other because of my European Trip in December 2009 which was the time my Dad and my brother went down to Canberra for Christmas.  We do speak to each other on MSN on rare occasions because of our lives interrupting our social lives.  I really really hope I can see her next month because I do fear that our incredibly strong friendship is slowly becoming loose.  I cannot and will not accept that my friendship with the most amazing, funniest and greatest person in the world just leave my life because we live two states away from each other.  I think I would mentally die if I never spoke or saw her again - she is like my long lost sister.  She is apart of my family and I love my family dearly.

Special Friendship: Cherish

At the beginning of 2007, when school had begun for a new year, both Cherish and I were in Year 9, and didn't know each other.  However, little did we know, we shared the same classes except for English and Form.  I had began to notice her and in our first (or second) maths lesson, Cherish had sat beside me.  We both began a conversation which led us to give each other our email addresses for MSN.  By March 2007, I invited her to sleep over at my house for my birthday along with another friend of mine.

Our friendship began to grow over the years, in year ten in 2008 we went on a Geography Camp (the photo above).  During that year, in 2008, we began to create inside jokes which were incredibly hilarious.  I also created a "Gerrylicious" song, parodying the Fergalicious song replacing it with Gerard Butler.  

Gerrylicious definition that makes the girls go crazy.  They claim they know him.  Coming to him callin’ him Gerry.  He’s the G to the E-R, the R and the Y.  And no one can do it just like him.  He’s Gerrylicious (So delicious).  His body stays vicious.  When he’s up in the gym workin’ on his fitness.  I’m his witness.  That makes the girls rock, rock.  To make him walk down the block.  Just to watch what he gots.  He’s so gerry-licious. He’s hot, hot.  So gerry-licious.  That make the girls rock, rock.  He so gerry-licious.  They wanna taste of what he gots.  H-h-h-h-h hold up!  Check him out.

We have a great friendship and I would definitely be someone completely different if I hadn't met Cherish.  My school life would have been definitely boring, and I probably would be sitting with people I would've hated.

Special Friendship: Regina

This was the first Facebook profile picture of Ina that I had seen :P

When I first made my tumblr account a year ago (which has now been deleted and replaced by my "new" tumblr which I made at the beginning of 2010), I never expected to make new friendships.  One of which is with Regina, also known as inagarcia on tumblr.  Our friendship was created because of our love to Richelle Mead's book series, Vampire Academy.  I had never had a deep conversation about the book series to anyone, ever!  So, when I met her, I was flipping the fuck out.

We quickly bonded and both planned (with two other tumblr people who I cannot recall) on flying to Russia and going to kill strigois.  To anyone who has never read the Vampire Academy series, you are both missing out as well as being confused why we want to go to Russia.  I actually want to go to Russia because after how Dimitri as well as Rose, explains Russia, it is completely the opposite of what I imagine.

Just looking in my tumblr archive searching for what I had reposted onto my new tumblr from my now non-existent tumblr, it reminds me of how much I was laughing and smiling on those nights.  Boy, do I miss those!  Here is an example of our bizarre conversations from AIM on how our convo changed from bananas to Vampire Academy (VA):

Only a month or so ago, we also began our own Vampire Academy fanfiction.  I had never expected for it to go on for so long and how much we write whenever we reply to each other.  At first we use to write like a few sentences but now as the story is slowly becoming more complex, we are now writing two to three paragraphs!  If you want to read it, start at the beginning.  This is the 'tag' for it, so you will have to go to the last page available here

Whenever she says hello to me on tumblr or on Facebook, I always smile.  Even though we have never met before and the chances of us meeting in the future is very low, as disappointed as I am.  Our internet friendship is very close to me :)

I wanted to speak my mind... :] I don't like journals anyway...they tend to get torn or water spills over them.. (clumsy me...)

* I just noticed on our FaceBook Friendship page that we have been friends since June, therefore making our friendship being approximately six months!

Our friendship is pretty close (compared to some of my friendships with other people), despite how long we have known each other.  I guess it is quite similar to Rose and Lissa's friendship bond ♥
